The Benefits of Being Environmental

Environmental Stratagies

For owners and tenants considering their operating costs and comfort, and for environmental concerns of builders and developers these building statagies and   environmental strategies mesh together based on the materials and the design of the building.

The environmentat stratagy becomes incorporated into the construction and profit stratagies with the approach where design, and materials are integrated almost as a bonus of doing cost effective business in today's marktetplace.

Consumers now concern themselves with operating costs as projected costs of fossile fuels increase and as the awareness of the effect of environmental matters is taken into consideration.  In fact, we have seen how the environmental concerns affect businesses dealing with obtaining supplies of materials at ever increasing prices and with the global economic trends, and that the effect in North America of supply of forest products is decreasing and imports are increasing for building materials to the point that now we import more than export forest products in the North American Market.  Environmental concerns are clearly also economic concerns.

All this points to the necessity of a strategy of sustainability for the builder and for the user of the building.

Sustainability means the ability of the system to function in a balanced, enduring way .  And this means the endurance of Businesses, dwelling places, the sources we use to create them.
For solar energy which arrives on the doorstep ready to work, the strategy is to use it as best as practical.  For a system with no moving parts, the passive solar approach delivers the most yield.  For passive solar the materials from natural raw sources work the best and are also happily the most advantageous in the cost of building and operating and will likely become more so as time goes by.

The value of the approach we are taking is that it encompasses the entire building formula as much as we can at this hour.  This may be seen as a drawback to some existing service and materials suppliers because there is not always a lot to salvage of the old technologies, so they are forced awkwardly into a system they do not understand and this places them at a disadvantage in continuing when the conditions within  which they are operating are changing around them.

It may be difficult to accept a new way of building at first, but the economies of doing it are very much an incentive to the process.
